OK everyone, how long would you wait before giving up on the second testicle descending? I have a 12 week old boy who only has one down at this point, his brothers have theirs already. I know it's still early, but I'm curious as to how long other would wait before placing this gorgeous little tri man in a pet home??

Can you feel where the other one is? Might give you an idea whether it's going to come down or not ... I suspect it's in the hands of the gods, frankly. Know of one that was found down at 18 months ... I had one that you could get down and hold down, but on release promptly went up again ... and others that haven't come down at all. Expletive deleted recessive genes!!

I know people give up on them quite early on...and I guess there is some weight in that there is a reason they dont come down at the normal time...me...If I can feel it my thoughts are I will wait until around 8-9 months. Norma

I had an ultrasound done last week, it's there, below the inguinal ring, so could come down, If it wanted to... Thanks, Norma, I'll wait for a while, then. He's soooooo cute!

I don't know if this helps as a guide, but under French laws of sale, a dog is not deemed monorchid (or cryptorchid) unless the testicle(s) is (are) not descended by the age of six months.

If I could figure out how to get a photo from my phone into this computer I would send them. I'm soooo bad with technology.

Do you not back up your phone on to your computer periodically? It will automatically transfer the pix over.
