Thread: Happy New Year

    Default Happy New Year

I find New Year's Eve a bit difficult: it tends to turn into a day of taking stock and realising that too many friends, family, dogs and cats will never return. It's such an arbitrary date: the same thing could happen on, say 28 February or the New Years of the Chinese, Sikh, Hindu, Islamic or Judaic "calendars". On the other hand, I think even harder of those that are still here. This morning I have already exchanged the traditional greeting "Bonne Année, Bonne Santé!" (Good year, Good health) with two of my neigbours so would like to wish everyone, and their dogs and other animals, a very Happy and Healthy New Year. The "pups" are almost two years old now, but I couldn't resist adding a photo of them, hoping there will another litter of "du Nid du Faisan" puppies this year
