    My son has brought himself an English Bull Terrier puppy:
    for Christmas I would like to get him a book on Training/Understanding Dogs he is not a novice having lived with and trained my Cavaliers all his life he owned Almira Maxamillion who did very well with, and was a junior handler when younger, but this is a whole new ball game ! Can anyone recommend one that they found really useful ?

    A really cool book I read recently to help me understand positive reinforcement on a whole new level is called "Don't Shoot the Dog" by Karen Pryor. It isn't 100% all about dogs, but gives a lot of great examples about positive reinforcement in life in general which you can apply to dogs.
