Open Show

Caerwent

4/05/2008.

Judge: MrsKaren Bartlett

Many thanks  to the committee for inviting me to Judge, also to my most efficient stewards. I found the entry to be clean & well cared for& of a good overall standard.. Bites were generally correct scissor.. There were some small heads with white of eye also creeping in detracting from the melting expression. I consistantly  found that a low  tailset continues to be a problem with dogs falling away over their  croup spoiling their outline.

I was looking for a glamourous  toy spaniel with a stunning  well cushioned appealing head combined with excellent conformation & movement.I found these qualities in abundance in my principal winners.   Congratulatons!

Veteran Bitch (2-1)

1/ Wheelers - Sharonaz Melody for Drumhaye:

Beautiful well marked Blen bitch of 10 ½ years young. If ever one needed an example of superb construction in a cavalier this dear old lady is the one to use as an example. Well laid shoulder, nicely ribbed with a dead level topline  into the excellent  tailset, really well angulated in rear , flows around the ring with drive. At this age her muzzle  is greying & she has lost a little of the plumpness in her cushioning but overall has a the loveliest head ,huge dark round limpid eyes, sweetest expression. Moves like a dream, shown in excellent coat & condition absolute credit to her owner. In the Bitch challenge every time I looked around  she was giving it her all really deserved RBB.
