The Club was founded in 1959 with twenty five members.
In the early days both Amice Pitt (Ttiweh) and Barbara Keswick (Pargeter)
were living near Dumfries and for a decade the Scottish Cavaliers
from these two kennels more than held their own with the rest of the Breed in Britain.
After Mrs Keswick's death in 1968 and with Amice Pitt moving south
it was left to others to make their mark in the show ring.
Our first Championship Show was held in 1969 and we
continue to hold one annually in October based at Irvine.
We have hosted the Amice Pitt Rally
three times and look forward to doing so again.
