Schiffman Crossbow Cavaliers
As
long as I can remember dogs have been a great part of my life, Labradors,
Boxers, Poodles, Cockers,
Beagles, Dobermans, Pointers but my love of Cavaliers
did not start until I was in grade school, where I met Jackie, who had
just moved to California from England.
A
few summers later a trip with Jackie to visit some of
her relatives I saw my first Cavalier, her Aunt had one, a
Tri-Color male, I knew nothing about this little dog and his breed but I fell
madly in love with him and vowed to have a house full of them one day.
That
day came in 1983 for my husband David and I, when I contacted Mr. Howard
Stein, President of the CKCSC, and was told to contact puppy referral, for which
I did, and very soon after our first Cavalier was on his way a
Tri-Color male from John Gammon & Robert Schroll, Ravenrush Already,
and soon followed by a blenheim female, Maxholt Secret Image from C. Anne
Eckersley. A trip to England a few years later, gave me the love of my life
Kindrum Savannah of Crossbow, which was soon followed up with many more
great and wonderful Cavaliers. I would like to acknowledge the wisdom of my
mentors both here and aboard for imparting me with their precious knowledge and
entrusting me with their impeccable bloodlines.
I
have been showing now for over 20 years with much success, and a judge since
1992. I have had the honor of judging the Amice Pitt Rally in England, the
Puppy Sweepstakes at the CKCSC-National, as well as the Trudy Albrecht Rally at
the CKCSC-National, and will be judging the West of England Cavalier King
Charles Spaniel Club in October.
I
am deeply honored to be ask to do the The Cavalier King Charles Spaniel
Club - USA, National Specialty and I look forward to a very special and
enjoyable day.
